Engineering Director

The Engineering Director is responsible for the management, engagement and delivery of UK and Overseas Engineering functions across the Helicopter Services Business Unit, managing the overall performance of the Line, Base and Maintenance programmes. The Engineering Director will also be responsible for providing the strategic direction through supply chain governance and operating structure to insure the department supports the Helicopter Services fleet of aircraft. As a highly regulated sector with both UK and International Civil and Military customers and operators, safety and regulatory compliance are the highest priority. The Engineering Director must ensure the highest levels of safety and compliance across all departments and operations they are responsible for.
The Engineering Director reports directly to the Managing Director/VP GM Helicopter Services.
Ideal candidates profile:
-Aircraft licensed engineer or equivalent.
-Ability to be acceptable to UK and International Civil and Military organisations as a Post Holder within Aviation Organisation.
-Broad experience in all aspects of aviation ( e.g Part 21, Part 147, Part 145, Part M, MAA, GCAA, FAA etc)
-Able to work in a geographically diverse organisation with customers from culturally diverse and sensitive areas.
- Extensive civil and military Technical, QA and Engineering aviation experience at a senior management level, ideally within the Helicopter industry.
-Several years experience in senior management or leadership role in the aviation industry.
-Several years experience at a senior level in an Engineering management role in the aviation industry.
