Cobham donates to The Shepherd Centre on behalf of employees

Cobham Aviation Services last month donated $1,700 to The Shepherd Centre, a charity that provides family-centred early intervention programs to teach children born deaf or hearing impaired how to develop spoken language across NSW, ACT, Tasmania and remote areas of Australia.
Employees voted for The Shepherd Centre as a charity of choice in the company’s annual giving program, a program that enables employees to nominate and vote for causes they care about.
It’s a charity close to the hearts of our B717 team, particularly First Officer Jenny Marr, whose daughter is a recipient of a cochlear implant and receives ongoing support from The Shepherd Centre.
Jenny and Senior Base Flight Attendant Natalie Quayle were delighted to visit The Shepherd Centre office in Newtown to present a cheque for $1,700.
“It was heart-warming to be given a tour of the Newtown facilities and meet some of the very dedicated team behind the cause,” said Natalie.
“Our donation has contributed to helping children and their families get the medical treatment and support they so greatly need and appreciate.”
The $1,700 donation will assist the charity in helping the many children and families who turn to The Shepherd Centre for support.
